Ellen Florence Cooksey, daughter of George Philip Cooksey, was born on 30 June 1899 at 128 Lavender Road, Battersea, London,1,2 and was baptized on 21 July 1899 at St Mary, Battersea, London.1 Ellen spent her childhood at the house in Lavender Road.34
She married Leonard Cecil Taylor circa 1929 at Marylebone, London, and they had three children, all boys, Marshall, Leonard and Percy.5,6,7 In 1934 the family shared the same house as Ellen's younger sister Edith May and her husband Arthur Edward Boughton at 1a Henry Street, Battersea, London,8 an address which subsequently became 20 Winders Road, Battersea, London.9
Ellen Florence died in 1971 at Merton, London,10 her address by then being 34 Buckfast Road, Morden, Surrey.7
