Mary Adams

Mary Adams was born circa 1689.1
Mary married Thomas Mead, son of George Mead and Hannah Hearne, on 6 June 1713 at Moreton, Essex.2,3,4 It appeared that they were both from Sawbridgeworth in Hertfordshire but they subsequently lived in Great Burstead, Essex, where the parish register records the burial of two of their sons named John and a daughter, Mary.5
Mary was named as an Executrix of the will of her husband Thomas Mead written on 22 January 1742 along with Thomas' brother John as Executor.6 Thomas died on 26 September 1743.7 His will was proved on 21 June 1744 and after various bequests to his children, Mary was left the residue of his estate.6
Mary died on 7 June 1755 at the age of 66 and was buried in a grave next to that of her husband Thomas in the churchyard at St Mary Magdalene, Great Burstead, Essex, on 10 June 1755.1,8,9 She died intestate and administration was granted to her eldest son Thomas Mead on 3 July 1755.10
