Mary Mead, daughter of George Mead and Mary ____, was born circa 1677 and was baptized on 9 September 1677 at Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire.1

She married Joseph Watts before 17 October 1700.2

Mary was named as a beneficiary in the will of her father George Mead written on 17 October 1700. She was to receive "...the sume of Twenty Shillings ... ". Quite probably she had received something more substantial on the occasion of her marriage.3

It would seem likely that this was the baptism of Mary, the first daughter of George and Mary and therefore named after her mother.
